Under New Business, we agreed to donate $247 to “Unions for Kids” fundraiser. The members also asked for a letter to be written to the Council explaining composite crew language in the contract. Thank you for Endorsing Jim Robison

Carpenters Local 247’s endorsement is key to winning in House District 44. Thank you for endorsing me and my commitment to improve the lives of working people! I know the power of worker unity from when in college I had to juggle three or more jobs to survive until I got one union job. Now I get by on a small paycheck because I’ve spent my spare time and expertise helping workers in our community and around Oregon. My grassroots campaign needs more canvassers, phone bankers, getting-out-the-vote (GOTV) and visibility (lawn signs and sign waving) during the final days of this election. If you live in my district, I hope you call or come in for a lawn sign. To volunteer, please call 503-595-2220 or visit 8535 N Lombard, Suite 101 (behind Starbucks and Kokiyo Teriyaki). Thank you also for your generous contribution! Please don’t forget to vote on May 16! — Jim Robison
