Retirees meet for lunch the second Monday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m. at JJ North’s, 10520 NE Halsey, Portland.

Executive Board
Executive Board meets the fourth Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Carpenters Hall, 2215 N. Lombard, Portland.

Scholarship available

Local 247 has a scholarship program available for members’ children and grandchildren. Guidelines are available at the office. Applications and Labor History Essays are due in the office by Aug. 28, 2007. Please call or drop by the office for any questions or more information.

Carpenters Picnic 2007
 

Locals 247 & 2154
August 12,11 am to 4 pm
Camp Withycombe Armory
10101 SE Clackamas Road
Clackamas, Oregon


Carpenters Local 247 and Exterior Interior Specialists Local 2154 are having their picnics together this year. It will still be at Camp Withycombe Armory.

Food: There will be lots of food available! Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, ribs, chicken, salads, baked beans, corn on the cob, chips and beverage. Brownies, sno-cones, and cotton candy, too!

Fun: Dunk the PNWRCC reps! We are having a dunk tank this year. Take a shot at your favorite rep!

Good Cause: This year, we will be having a raffle on a variety of items. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the picnic! This year’s proceeds will be going to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Kids Stuff: There will be a face painting and tattoo station, carnival game booths, giant Wet’n’Wild slide, inflatable Survivor Challenge obstacle course, Under the Sea for Kids, swimming pools, bingo, and relay races.

Adult tickets $3 • Child tickets $2
You must purchase tickets for entrance to this year’s picnic! Please include a check or money order for the number of tickets that you wish to purchase. Please make checks payable to Carpenters Local 247.We also take VISA/MC; however, there is a $1 service charge.

A valid state identification is required to drive into Camp Withycombe. Please let us know if you need handicapped parking.
